PK Thomas and Mary Thomas (Thommachen and Pennamma) Puthenkadupil
Puthenkadupil family history starts from Mr. Kuruvilla, 3 rd son of Chotirakunnel Itty Kuruvilla Tharakaran. PK Thomas (Thommachen) is the second among the three siblings of Kuruvilla and Eleykutty (of Kondodikal family). Eldest brother is Mr. PK Joseph and youngest is Mr. PK Korah. In 1922 their father passed away exactly after 10 years of their mother’s death in 1912.
In 1916, 4 years after the mother’s death, these 3 children were brought to Kanjirapally by their uncle (mother’s brother) Mr. Kunjachen (Uppapi) of Maliakal family. In 1930, Thommachen married Pennamma (Mary Thomas), D/O Kuriakose (Kuttiachen), of Kallarackal family. After the marriage, he moved to Mecherithakadiyel house and later started provision business. As he was a very kind person, helped the needy by all his means and during the World war time when there was food shortage, he took the risk to bring rice from other states and distributed. They are blessed with 9 children (7 Sons and 2 Daughters). On 09-Jan-1953 at the age of 48, he passed away when Ammachy was 40 years old and on 22-March -2005, Mary Thomas joined him at the age of 92.

Kuruvachen (Col (Retd) Kuruvilla), Eldest son of the family joined the Indian Army and settled at Pullarikunnu, near Kottayam after the retirement. Wife Thankamani is from Vaniaypurackal family, Edathua. They are blessed with 3 children, Siby, Saji and Savio.
Siby (Lt. Col (Retd) Thomas Kuruvilla) joined the Indian Army (Gurkha Regiment) in 1987 and later in 2008 took premature retirement. Presently working with Spicer India Ltd, a Dana Holding Corporation (US) JV Company at Pune. Wife Rejini (Elsa Rejin Thomas), youngest amoung the three siblings was born in Adipuzha family to Mr. AM Varghese (Babychen) and Mrs. Thankamma Varghese. They are blessed with a daughter Sneha (Sneha Tressa Thomas) who is currently pursuing her Graduation in English Honors’ from Symbiosis International University, Pune.
Saji (Francis Kuruvilla) after working for 16 years in the international trade segment started his own venture CARNIVAL HOME CONCEPTS, manufacturer and exporter of high fashion leather bags, accessories and furnishings in 2002 along with his wife Rincy, who is managing the design studio and administration. They are blessed with 2 children Savio Kuruvilla and Joe Joseph Francis, both studying at St. Francis De Sales School, Janakpuri, New Delhi. Rincy belong to Nilapanayil family & is the D/O of Ipe Varghese & Mariamma, seventh out of 8 siblings settled in Kaduthurthy near Kottayam.
Savio (Savio Kuruvilla) popularly known as Chottu was employed with Reliance Insurance and settled at Kottayam. Wife Shanti is working with Met Life Insurance. Blessed with 2 children Goutam and Sandra.

Josechayan was born at Kanjirapally on 16th August 1934. Primary school education was at St Dominic’s School and upper primary and high school education at the Govt High School Kanjirapally. Passed ESLC in 1951 and joined the minor seminary at Parel Changanacherry. The then Bishop Mar Mathew Kavukattu send him with nine other seminarians to SB College Changanacherry for the Intermediate course. The Bishop then asked to join for the BSc course and took Botany for graduation at SB College and graduated in 1955.
Later joined Mangalore Jesuit Seminary for Philosophy and Theology courses. Priestly Ordination was on 3rd December 1962 by His Excellency Lounginus Pereira, Auxiliary Bishop of Bombay at St Josephs Seminary, Mangalore and my first Holy Mass on 6 12 1962 at St Dominic’s Church, Kanjirapally.
Mar Mathew Kavukattu then sent him to SB College for higher studies. Before joining MSc course, he was appointed warden of Sahrudaya Hostel for one year. Mean while he was asked to be demonstrator for the practical work in the lab. Took MSc degree in 1966. Later served as warden of St Josephs Hostel for three months in 1964. In 1966 June, joined St Dominic’s College Kanjirapally as Lecturer in Botany. In 1967 appointed Vice Principal of the College. -The management deputed to KE College Mannanam, to get teaching experience in degree classes, as St Dominic’s College was a junior college. He was at KE College from 1970 to 1973.Returned to St Dominic’s in 1973 June and resumed work as Lecturer and Vice Principal. Appointed as Principal of St Dominic’s in 1984 and served the college as principal till retirement on 31 3 1990.
After retirement from the college he was detailed for parish ministry. Served as Vicar at Sacred Heart Church Chenkel 1990 to 1995, at Holy Cross Church from 1995 to 2000, at Holy Family Forane Church Ponkunam from 2000 to 2005, at Fathima Matha Church Karikulam from 2005 to 2007 and at St Pius X Church Anchilippa from 2007 till date.
The golden jubilee of priesthood will be on 3rd December 2012.

Kuttiachen (PT Kuriakose)
Kuttiachen, planter by profession went to Thopramkudy near Idukki in early 1960’s and now settled there. Married Chanchamma, D/O Mathew, Kavalam Puthuparambil, Erumely on 25 – January 1967. They are blessed with 3 children, Tomy, Toji and Tinu.
Tomy (Thomas PK ) with working experience both in India and abroad, ventured into Entrepreneurship in 2010 and started Accort Services, a Consulting, Recruitment and Payroll Outsourcing Company along with his colleagues. Has worked with companies like TeamLease, WebEx ( now Cisco),Natura, The One LLC, Delta Consultancy Services. Wife Princy, D/o of Mr. Thomas PM and Philomena Thomas, Parayamkuzhy and eldest amoung the three siblings. Currently working with Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore and also pursuing her PhD. They are blessed with 3 children, Lorraine (Achu) studying in 5 th , Leann (Vava) studying in 4 th and Levin (Appu) studying in UKG at St. Francis De Sales Public School in Bangalore.
Toji (Fr. Toji (Mathew)) Kuriakose Puthenkaduppil CMI), second priest from the family, belongs to the Congregation of Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). Being the member of Carmel Province, Muvattupuzha, Kerala, he submitted himself to the Almighty God (first profession) on 08/09/1998 and offered perpetually (final/perpetual profession) on 12/06/2004. Priestly ordination was on 29 December 2007 at St. Maria Goretty Church, Thopramkudy by Most Rev. Dr. Grecian Mundadan CMI, Bishop of Bijnor.
Before the ordination he was appointed as teacher at Girijyothi CMI Public School, Idukki, Kerala (2003-2004), and Christ International School, Bangalore (2007-08). He has completed Philosophical and Theological studies from Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram (DVK), Bangalore, and holds another bachelors degree in Economics from Bangalore University, Masters in Philosophy from (DVK), Masters in Sociology from Madurai University and M. Phil (Pre-doc.) in Philosophy from Catholic University, Leuven, Belgium.
After the Priestly Ordination he served as the assistant parish priest (three months) at Vimala Matha Church, Kadalikadu, Kerala (2007) and later appointed as Lecturer in Philosophy at DVK (2008-2009), and Christ University, Bangalore. During that tenor he became the assistant parish priest of St. Thomas Church, Bangalore and became the Director of Santhome Youth Association. At present he is doing doctoral research (Ph. D) in Educational Sciences at Belgium.
Tinu (Kunji) after her plus two from De Paul School, now pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Bio-Technology from Christ University Bangalore.

Elsamma is married to Mr. K G Joseph (Ousepachayan), Kalangaraparambil family and now settled at Karukachal near Changanacherry. Blessed with 6 children, Benzy, Mariamma, Thommachen, Tomychen, Risen, Georgekutty and Rani.

In 1972, joined Shipping Corporation of India as Fifth Engineer and left as Chief Engineer in 1980. During that tenure passed Ministry of Transportation exam - MOT Class II and Class I. From 1981 till 1993 worked with Hong Kong Shipping Company. Till 2003 was with Oil exploration oil rigs and later Dredging Corporation of India. Later worked as Fleet Manager for IMS ship Management and currently holds the position of Technical Consultant to IMS. Worked on around 25 ships and travelled all over the world.

Roby (Dominic Thomas)
Robby is the youngest son of PK Thomas and Mary Thomas did his schooling at Kanjirapally and later graduated in Zoology from SB College Changanacherry. He was initially a teacher at Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. He did also teach in AKJM School, Kanjirapally for a short period and later settled at Kanjirapally with business. After 35 years of business, he is now actively preaching the Word of God within and outside the state. He is married to Mariamma Dominic (Achamma) from Manakkunnel Karuvelithara family, Changanacherry. Achamma, who is a house wife, completed her Home Science from Morning Star College, Angamaly. They are blessed with four children: Priya Mary Dominic, Preethu Tresa Dominic, Prince Tom Dominic (Thommachan) and Prinu Elizabeth Dominic.
Priya Mary Dominic is a software engineer by profession, who post graduated in computer science from Assumption College Changanacherry. She is married to Mr. Feby Francis, Vadappuram House, Kokkamangalam, Cherthala. Feby is working with Bharati Airtel, Cochin and Priya is working for TCS at Info Park, Kakkanadu. They are blessed with a kid, Izaac Francis Feby.
Preethu Tresa Dominic is also working for TCS at Info Park, Kakkanadu after pursuing her B Tech in EEE from College of Engineering, Perumon.
